In 84 AC, two men of the City Watch of King's Landing found Tom Turnip, the fool of King Jaehaerys I Targaryen, surrounded by whores at the Blue Pearl, as well as Ser Braxton Beesbury, Lord Roy Connington, and Jonah Mooton, the male favorites of Princess Saera Targaryen. Lord Roy admitted they thought it would be funny to see the fool do the deed, and Jonah Mooton said the prank had been Saera's idea.
"It is never pleasant to lance a boil," Grand Maester Elysar wrote of the affair. "You never know how much pus will come out, or how badly it will smell." The pus that burst forth from the Blue Pearl would smell very badly indeed.—Archmaester Gyldayn
