After the ironborn attack on the Reach, Ser Gunthor is given command of the harbor at Oldtown, and prepares its defenses.[1]
Approaching Oldtown, the Cinnamon Wind is inspected in Whispering Sound by the captain of the Huntress, and then inspected a second time in the harbor of Oldtown by Gunthor himself. Because Gunthor knows the Summer Tongue, he and Captain Quhuru Mo speak privately in his cabin for a while. Afterwards, Gunthor orders the harbor's chain boom to be opened so the swan ship can dock.[1]
