Ser Gyles Yronwood was an exiled knight from House Yronwood who was loyal to the blacks during the Dance of the Dragons.[1]
History
During the Storming of the Dragonpit, Ser Gyles was one of the Seven Who Rode, men sent by Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen to recover her son, Prince Joffrey Velaryon, as he tried to save the dragons from the Dragonpit. Joffrey was killed after falling off the dragon Syrax, however, with a mob tearing apart his body. While trying to recover the boy's remains, Gyles was one of three rescuers who were killed, being pulled from his horse and bludgeoned to death.[1]
