Recent Events

A Dance with Dragons

The House is supposedly less hostile to the rule of Daenerys Targaryen though Skahaz mo Kandaq suspects the House may have ties with the Sons of the Harpy.[2]

When several Meereenese ships join the blockade of Meereen, Skahaz presents Daenerys a list with the names of the Meereenese captains and which families they belong to, with the House of Loraq among the names.[3]

In an effort to bring peace to the city, Daenerys weds Hizdahr zo Loraq.[4]

While in Daznak's Pit, Daenerys sees members of the House of Loraq occupying the red and orange benches. The women are veiled, and the men have their hair brushed and lacquered into horns and hands and spikes, the classic manner of Ghiscari men. Dany notes that Hizdahr's kin of the ancient line of Loraq seem to favor tokars of purple and indigo and lilac.[1]

Hizdahr attempts to rule as King of Meereen from the Great Pyramid after Daenerys flies away from Daznak's Pit on Drogon.[5] Hizdahr appoints his cousin Marghaz zo Loraq as commander of the Brazen Beasts.[5] Ser Barristan Selmy deposes Hizdahr and his him confined to a cell.[6]
