Lord of Cerwyn[1][2][3] is a title held by the head of House Cerwyn, the ruler of Castle Cerwyn in the north.[1]

History

At the end of the Dance of the Dragons, Lord Cerwyn was part of the northern host marching on King's Landing led by Lord Cregan Stark. He was Lord Stark's closest friend.[4]

Lord Robard Cerwyn was wed to Aregelle Stark, the great-granddaughter of Lord Cregan.[5][6]

Recent Events

A Game of Thrones

Lord Medger Cerwyn comes to Winterfell when Robb Stark calls his banners.[7] The seriously wounded Medger[8] is captured in the battle on the Green Fork.[9]

A Clash of Kings

Lord Medger dies of his wounds at Harrenhal.[8] His son, Cley Cerwyn, succeeded him as Lord of Cerwyn.[1]

When the ironmen attack Torrhen's Square, Lord Cley brings three hundred men as part of the relief force.[10] Afterward Cley joins Ser Rodrik Cassel and marches to the relief of Winterfell. Ramsay Snow leads a Bolton force in betraying Rodrik's forces; Cley is killed from an arrow through the eye.[11]

A Storm of Swords

Cley is succeeded by his older sister, Jonelle Cerwyn.[1]

A Dance with Dragons

Lady Jonelle swears fealty to the Iron Throne.[12] She is at Barrowton after Moat Cailin is recovered from the ironborn,[12] and puts her signature on a letter from Ramsay Bolton to Asha Greyjoy at Deepwood Motte[13] and a letter from Ramsay to Jon Snow at Castle Black.[14]
