Lord of the Rills
|Lord of the Rills|
|Office||Ruler of the Rills|
|Current Holder||Lord Rodrik Ryswell|
Lord of the Rills is a title held by the head of House Ryswell, the ruler of the Rills in the north.
The Ryders were First Men kings after the Long Night. They were eventually defeated and reduced to vassals by the Kings of Winter, House Stark of Winterfell. House Ryswell ruled the Rills after them.
When the youngest son of a Lord Ryswell deserted the Night's Watch, he rode to the barrowlands with his fellow deserters, hoping his father would help them. Instead, Lord Ryswell sent them back to the Nightfort where the Lord Commander had the seventy-nine deserters sealed up alive in the ice. When he was old and dying, Lord Ryswell volunteered for the Night's Watch so he could rejoin his son.
A Feast for Crows
House Ryswell is one of the first houses to swear allegiance to Roose Bolton, Lord of the Dreadfort, after he is named the new Warden of the North by the Iron Throne. The Ryswells join his son, Ramsay Bolton, for the siege of Moat Cailin.
A Dance with Dragons
Lord Rodrik Ryswell, along with his sons and surviving daughter Barbrey, attends the wedding of Ramsay to "Arya Stark" (actually Jeyne Poole) in Winterfell.
