Lord of Highgarden|
Master of coin
|Spouse||Lady Florence Fossoway|
|Book(s)||Fire & Blood (mentioned)|
After the murder of Lord Rego Draz, a new master of coin was needed. Septon Barth put forward Lord Martyn; while not praising his wits, he mentioned that Martyn's wife, the Lady Florence Fossoway, had been doing the Reach's accounts for years and had increased the incomes by a third.
Martyn—aided and abetted by his clever wife—proved almost as able as Rego, the so-called Lord of Air, had been as master of coin. This made the Seven Kingdoms prosperous and allowed King Jaehaerys I Targaryen to expand his project of roads, creating the roseroad, the ocean road, the river road, and the goldroad once the kingsroad was completed.
