History
During the Sack of King's Landing, Roland, Ser Elys Westerling, and other westermen entered the Red Keep's throne room shortly after Ser Jaime Lannister of the Kingsguard killed King Aerys II Targaryen. Roland informed Jaime that King's Landing had fallen to the forces of his father, Lord Tywin Lannister. Jaime seated himself on the Iron Throne and waited for more men to arrive, which turned out to be Lord Eddard Stark with his northmen.[2]
