Ryger Rivers is a bastard son of Lord Walder Frey of the Crossing. In the television adaptation Game of Thrones, Ryger is portrayed by Bryan McCaugherty.[2]

History

Ryger's mother was a peasant who milked goats before Lord Walder got her pregnant with Ryger.[1]

A Game of Thrones

When Catelyn Stark comes to discuss terms with Lord Walder over the crossing of the Northern army, he is rude to her. Ryger attempts to chastise his father for his discourtesy. Ryger is rudely told off, however.[1]

A Storm of Swords

As part of the pact between lords Tywin Lannister and Walder Frey concerning the betrayal of Robb Stark in the Red Wedding, Tywin's bastard niece, Joy Hill, is to wed a natural son of Walder once she is older.[3]
