Can someone else please check this: is Caraxes described using male or female pronouns? Because I saw male pronouns used most of the time, but thought I saw female pronouns during the fight with Vhagar.--The Dragon Demands 02:35, 9 December 2014 (UTC)

Yes you are correct. I don't think this is a case of "Dragons are interchangeable as flame" either. He's a he when they are in the yard of Harrenhal and then a she when biting Vhagar's neck. --RumHam 20:53, 9 December 2014 (UTC)

In TPATQ I've seen "Caraxes raised his head" and "Caraxes spread his wings", "Caraxes bend his neck". Yet it's "...her black teeth..." and "...her belly...", during the fight against Vhagar. When crawling back ashore after the fight, Caraxes is a "he" again... I don't believe Caraxes' sex is mentioned in TRP..
I feel the page should simply state that it is currently unclear whether Caraxes is a male or a she-male, as the dragon is described as being both sexes by Archmaester Gyldayn in his historical works.--Rhaenys_Targaryen 23:43, 9 December 2014 (UTC)
I'll bring this up with the bosses. I do think that Caraxes was thought to be male, just because "he" is used much more frequently.--The Dragon Demands 00:31, 10 December 2014 (UTC)
