Moon Boy

Is he really a "lackwit?"--RumHam 16:00, 13 August 2014 (UTC)

In A Game of Thrones, Sansa II, this is stated (emphasize mine):

The king’s own fool, the pie-faced simpleton called Moon Boy, danced about on stilts, all in motley, making mock of everyone with such deft cruelty that Sansa wondered if he was simple after all.

As Moon boy is described as a simpleton, he would qualify for a place on the list. Though I do think it should be noted that Dontos Hollard says that he believes Moon Boy is not as simple as he appears to be, claiming that Moon Boy is a spy for Varys. Dontos was drunk when stating this though.--Rhaenys_Targaryen 20:54, 12 August 2014 (UTC)

It's not just Dontos who thinks he feigns stupidity:

"The king’s own fool, the pie-faced simpleton called Moon Boy, danced about on stilts, all in motley, making mock of everyone with such deft cruelty that Sansa wondered if he was simple after all. Even Septa Mordane was helpless before him; when he sang his little song about the High Septon, she laughed so hard she spilled wine on herself."

It requires a certain amount of intelligence to be witty like that, or to be an effective fool at all. (Contrast Moon Boy and Patchface.) I'm pretty sure he just plays dumb, but I don't think he's even pretending to be a "lackwit" on the level of Aegon Frey or Hodor.--RumHam 16:00, 13 August 2014 (UTC)

I've left Moon Boy in the list for the moment, but added "possibly" behind his name. I've also added a subpart for Moon Boy, where I've described the doubts that exist on whether or not he's a simpleton.--Rhaenys_Targaryen 17:18, 13 August 2014 (UTC)
