Willam Stackspear was the Lord and head of House Stackspear during the reign of King Aegon III Targaryen. He became one of Aegon's regents.[2][1]
Character
Lord Willam Stackspear loved to hawk. An undistinguished regent, Willam considered his two fellow regents, Marq Merryweather and Lorent Grandison, to be fools.[1]
History
During the Great Council of 136 AC, three regents were selected by lot to serve in the regency for King Aegon III Targaryen.[2] Lord Willam Stackspear was among the three regents selected, considered an inoffensive, though undistinguished, choice.[1]
While the regents and Lord Torrhen Manderly, the Hand of the King, were discussing King Aegon III's first royal progress, the young king entered the room and dismissed them all, for he had come of age.[1]
