Ser Willis Wode is a knight from House Wode. He and his unnamed brother are landed knights sworn to House Whent of Harrenhal.
Appearance and Character
Willis is stiff-necked and stolid. He wields a spiked morningstar. He owns a helmet with a thin slit for his eyes and a long black silk plume.
A Game of Thrones
Ser Willis is at the crossroads inn when Catelyn Tully takes Tyrion Lannister prisoner. He is the first to proclaim his loyalty to House Tully and to agree in accompanying Lady Catelyn to the Eyrie with Tyrion as prisoner. He survives the ride through the Mountains of the Moon, and is the only Riverlands man-at-arms to survive the journey.
He remains at the Bloody Gate upon the party's arrival in the Vale of Arryn. He is in attendance when Tyrion demands a trial by combat, though his whereabouts afterwards is unknown.
A Feast for Crows
On the journey to lift the Siege of Riverrun, Ser Jaime Lannister and his host come across the lands once held by the brothers Wode, two landed knights sworn to Harrenhal. Jaime encounters neither member of the Wode family or their smallfolk but finds both of their timber keeps burned down, and hangs several outlaws taking shelter in the cellar beneath one of the ruined halls.
