Aethan Velaryon was a head of House Velaryon and Lord of the Tides. He was married to Alarra Massey. They had sons and at least one daughter.[1]

History

Aethan served King Aegon I Targaryen as lord admiral and master of ships.[1] He was aided by Prince Maegor Targaryen and Ser Osmund Strong during campaigns against Sargoso Saan, a pirate-lord of the Stepstones, in 29 AC and 30 AC.[1] His daughter, Alyssa, was married to her cousin Prince Aenys Targaryen in 22 AC. [1]

A Lord Velaryon, possibly Aethan, advised King Maegor I to wed Princess Rhaena Targaryen.[1]
