Ser Alan Beesbury was a knight from House Beesbury during the Dance of the Dragons.[1] He was the heir of of his grandfather, Lord Lyman Beesbury.[2]

History

Alan's grandsire, Lord Lyman Beesbury, was the first to die during the Dance of the Dragons, although his cause of death is disputed.[3] Since it was believed that Lyman languished in the black cells, Alan loudly called for his grandfather's release.[2] Because Lyman's murderers were greens who supported King Aegon II Targaryen, Ser Alan supported Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen and the blacks.

Alan Beesbury and Lord Alan Tarly harassed the host of Lord Ormund Hightower after it departed Oldtown. Along with Lord Owen Costayne, the two Alans fought Ormund's army along the banks of the Honeywine, trapping the greens with a second army of blacks led by Lord Thaddeus Rowan and Tom Flowers. Lord Hightower's lines started to crumble and defeat seemed all but a forgone conclusion. However, Prince Daeron Targaryen joined the Battle on the Honeywine on his dragon, Tessarion, turning the battle for the greens. Both Alans were captured after the battle.[2]
