Aliandra was a flirtatious and fiery young woman.[1][4]
History
The daughter of Prince Qoren Martell, Aliandra became Princess of Dorne at the age of seventeen. She saw herself as "the new Nymeria"[5] and encouraged her lords and knights to prove themselves to her by raiding in the Dornish Marches.[4] Aliandra's younger brother was suggested as a possible husband for Lady Baela Targaryen, but she wed Lord Alyn Velaryon instead.[5]
When she was eighteen, Aliandra met Alyn Oakenfist during his first great journey, when his campaign to defend the westerlands from Lord Dalton Greyjoy brought him to Sunspear. Bastard Born claims that Alyn had to provide intimate services to Aliandra before she allowed him provisions for his fleet, although Hard as Oak contradicts that story.[1]
Aliandra met Alyn met again when he returned from the Sunset Sea, and Drazenko Rogare, a Lysene envoy, informed the Oakenfist that Prince Viserys Targaryen was a captive of his brother, Lysandro Rogare.[1] Aliandra showed great favor to Alyn during his visits.[4] Alyn's wife, Baela Targaryen, disliked hearing about Aliandra.[3]
Aliandra was one of the greatest beneficiaries of the Daughters' War, with Dorne taking dominion over most of the Stepstones.[3] During the Lysene Spring, Aliandra married Drazenko and named him Prince Consort of Dorne and Lord of the Stepstones.[3][6] When Drazenko suspiciously choked to death on bacon in 135 AC, his death was attributed by some to the Faceless Men of Braavos.[3] It is unknown whether Aliandra and Drazenko had offspring, and whether said offspring continued House Martell.
