Barba Bracken was the fifth mistress of Aegon IV Targaryen. There was one child from the union, Aegor Rivers, better known as Bittersteel, the founder of the Golden Company. She was replaced by Melissa Blackwood in Aegon's bed. This led to the later feud between Bittersteel and the son of Melissa, Brynden Rivers, also known as Lord Bloodraven.[1] While Melissa was slender in shape, Barba was buxom.[2] The Mother's Teats hills were renamed for her by King Aegon IV.[2]

Barba's son Aegor took after her in appearance, inheriting Barba's dark hair.[3]
