Bellegere Otherys, also known as the Black Pearl of Braavos, was a smuggler, trader, sometime pirate, and the captain of the Widow Wind. She was born of a union between a Braavosi merchant’s daughter and an envoy from the Summer Isles.[1]

She was as black as a pot of ink.
History
After Queen Naerys Targaryen almost died in 161 AC after giving birth, King Baelor I Targaryen sent Prince Aegon, her husband, to Braavos on a diplomatic mission. There he met Bellegere. His affair with the Black Pearl continued for ten years, though it was said that Bellegere had a husband in every port and that Aegon was one of many.[1]
