Boremund Baratheon was the Lord of Storm's End and the head of House Baratheon during the reign of kings Jaehaerys I and Viserys I Targaryen.[1] He was the half-brother of King Jaehaerys I.[5]
Appearance and Character
According to Septon Eustace, Boremund was like stone, "hard and strong and unmoving".[6] He was belligerent.[7] At eight-and-twenty, he was the image of his father, brawny and powerful, with a booming laugh, a great black beard, and a mane of thick black hair.[1]
History
Boremund was the eldest son of Lord Rogar Baratheon and Dowager Queen Alyssa Velaryon. He had a younger sister, Jocelyn.[5]
In 80 AC, Lord Boremund was still unmarried, and thus was raised as a potential suitor for Princess Daella Targaryen by Queen Alysanne. He was the most imposing candidate, but the princess eventually married Lord Rodrik Arryn.[1]
As the Lord of Storm's End, Boremund was a staunch supporter of the claims of Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, his sister's daughter, and Rhaenys's son, Ser Laenor Velaryon, at the Great Council of 101 AC.[8] Boremund and Rhaenys were always steadfast friends.[7]
Boremund had at least one son, Borros, who gave him four granddaughters and one grandson.[7][9]
