Elmar Frey is the youngest son of Lord Walder Frey. He is the same age as Arya Stark.[1] He is nine years old.[2]

Elmar is the twenty-second born son of Lord Walder Frey and the fourth son born of Lord Walder's marriage to Annara Farring. There is a rumor in the Twins that Annara Farring was sleeping with Black Walder Frey.[3]

Recent Events

A Game of Thrones

As part of the pact sealed during the parley between Catelyn Tully and Lord Walder Frey, Elmar was promised to Arya Stark.[4]

He squired for Lord Roose Bolton and was part of his army when it took Harrenhal. It was at Harrenhal that Elmar learned that his betrothal was called off. Unbeknownst to him, his princess, Arya was standing before him.[5]

A Storm of Swords

When news reached the Twins of King Robb Stark's marriage to Jeyne Westerling, Lord Walder broke all the remaining marriage contracts with House Stark, ending Elmar's marriage promise to Arya.[6]
