Game of Thrones - A Telltale Games Series is an episodic graphic adventure game developed and published by Telltale Games. "Iron From Ice", the first of its planned six episodes, was released in December 2014.[1][2][3]

The game is based on the television adaptation Game of Thrones[4] and its story will begin near the end of Season 3 and end before the beginning of Season 5. The player will control five characters affiliated with House Forrester of Ironrath, a house of the wolfswood in the North. Other locations in the game will include the Wall and King's Landing.[1]

Television actors reprising their roles for the game include Lena Headey as Cersei Lannister, Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister, Natalie Dormer as Margaery Tyrell, Iwan Rheon as Ramsay Snow, and Kit Harington as Jon Snow. Other cast members may appear in future episodes.[5]

Plot

Episode 1: Iron From Ice

In the first episode, released in early December 2014,[6] we meet Gared Tuttle and follow his fate and decisions in the wake of the Red Wedding.

Soon after, our point of view shifts to young Lord Ethan Forrester as he, too, must decide how to deal with the consequences of the Red Wedding, which has put House Forrester under grave peril, for it emboldened both their traditional rivals of House Whitehill and the feared House Bolton.

At the same time, Ethan's sister, Lady-in-waiting Mira Forrester, at the service of Lady Margaery Tyrell, does her best to navigate through the dangerous environment of King's Landing, where alliances are costly and necessary, yet quite unreliable.

Significant locations in this episode include The Twins, the Kingsroad, King's Landing and Ironrath. There are three distinct point of view characters.[7]

Episode 2: The Lost Lords

Released in early February, 2015. The exiled sellsword Asher Forrester, second son of Lord Gregor Forrester, is a new point of view character in this Episode. Gared Tuttle and Mira Forrester are still point of view characters. Jon Snow, Tyrion Lannister and Margaery Tyrell make appearances in this episode as well (but not as point of view characters). Several new characters are introduced, including a companion of arms of Asher Forrester; Frostfinger of the Night's Watch; and Gwyn Whitehill.

Significant locations for this episode include Castle Black, King's Landing, Yunkai and Ironrath. [8]
