Gilwood is closer to fifty than forty. He has a bushy mustache and a fondness for wine. Gilwood is dressed with an ermine cloak pinned with a brooch with his House arms. He has red nose and cheeks, and is a heavy drinker.[3]
Recent Events
A Storm of Swords
Gilwood's father, Lord Eon, dies suddenly and Gilwood inherits the titles. The suddenness of his father's death leads his two younger brothers, Ser Eustace and Ser Harlan, to claim that Gilwood had murdered Eon.[4]
A Feast for Crows
Lord Gilwood is the last of the Lords Declarant to arrive at the Gates of the Moon with his forces to enforce the blockade put in place to starve Petyr Baelish out of the Eyrie. Despite his age, he is known as Young Lord Hunter.[3]
According to Petyr, Gilwood will most likely be killed by his youngest brother, Harlan, who is actually to blame for the death of their father Eon.[3]
