Grunt is a man-at-arms sworn to House Bolton. He is one of the Bastard's Boys.
Appearance and Character
Grunt lost his tongue for speaking carelessly within earshot of Roose Bolton.[1] He is described as brutal.[2] Grunt enjoys touching women's breasts,[3] although not always with permission.[2]
Recent Events
A Dance with Dragons
Grunt is present in the great hall of the Dreadfort when Big Walder and Little Walder Frey bring Theon Greyjoy before Ramsay Bolton, who is joined by Arnolf Karstark and Hother Umber.[1]
Sour Alyn and Grunt are on guard at the door of Ramsay's bedchamber when the spearwives go with Theon to rescue "Arya Stark" (actually Jeyne Poole).
Quotes
Grunt had no tongue and Sour Alyn had no wits, Lord Ramsay liked to say. One was brutal, the other mean, but both had spent most of their lives in service at the Dreadfort. They did as they were told.[2]
