The Tourney of the Hand was held in King's Landing to celebrate the naming of Eddard Stark as Hand of the King to Robert I.

Archery Competition

Anguy of the Dornish Marchers defeated Ser Balon Swann and Jalabhar Xho at a hundred paces after all other competitors had been defeated at shorter ranges.[3]

Mêlée

Thoros of Myr won the mêlée after a brutal three-hour fight. His flaming sword tended to frighten the mounts of the other competitors.[4]
