The High Septon was High Septon of the Faith of the Seven during the reign of Aegon I Targaryen. He was a maternal uncle of Ceryse Hightower.[1][2]

History

When Queen Visenya Targaryen proposed a marriage between her son Maegor and her niece, Princess Rhaena, the High Septon strongly objected. Instead, Maegor was wed to the High Septon's niece, Lady Ceryse Hightower,[1][2] in 25 AC, when Maegor was thirteen and Ceryse twenty-three years old.[3]
