The Belmores support Lord Yohn Royce in pressuring Lady Lysa Arryn to enter the War of the Five Kings.

Ser Marwyn Belmore is Lysa's captain of the guards at the Eyrie, and he is mocked by Marillion, who names him Ser Ding-Dong. When Petyr Baelish marries Lysa, he replaces Marwyn with Ser Lothor Brune as the captain of the guards.

A Feast for Crows

Marwyn goes to the Eyrie with Lord Nestor and Ser Albar Royce to question Petyr and Alayne Stone about Lysa's death.

Lord Benedar Belmore is one of the six Lords Declarant. He is the first to arrive at the Gates of the Moon and blocks the food supplies. Petyr does not consider Lord Belmore as a threat, since he is corrupt and can be bought. After the parley at the Eyrie, Lord Belmore befriends Petyr and attends the wedding of Lord Lyonel Corbray in Gulltown that most of the other Lords Declarant shun.

Ser Marwyn is now the captain of the guards at the Gates of the Moon.
