House Belmore of Strongsong is one of the more powerful noble houses from the Vale. Their arms are six silver bells on purple, 3-2-1.[1][2] Their words do not appear in the books.

The known Belmores during the timespan of the events described on A Song of Ice and Fire are:
- Lord Benedar Belmore, Lord of Strongsong. A fat grey-bearded man.
With unspecified familiar relationship with the lord of the house there is also:
- Ser Marwyn Belmore, a knight. Captain of the guards at the Eyrie.
Finally, the mother of Ser Elbert Arryn, the darling of the Vale, was a Belmore.

- The Belmores gave support to Yohn Royce when pressuring Lady Lysa to enter to the War of the Five Kings on behalf of Robb Stark.
- Ser Marwyn Belmore was Lysa's captain of the guards at the Eyrie.
- Ser Marwyn was usually mocked by Marillion, who named him Ser Ding-Dong.
- When Petyr Baelish married Lysa, he replaced Ser Marwyn with Ser Lothor Brune as the captain of the guards.
- Ser Marwyn went up to the Eyrie with Lord Nestor and Ser Albar Royce to question Petyr Baelish and Alayne about Lysa's death.
- Lord Belmore was one of the six Lords Declarant; the first who arrived at the Gates of the Moon and blocked the food supplies.
- Petyr Baelish did not consider Lord Belmore as a threat, since he was corrupt and could be bought.
- After the parley at the Eyrie, Lord Belmore befriended Petyr Baelish and attended the wedding of Lord Lyonel Corbray that most of the other Lord Declarants shunned.
