History
In 287 AC, Brienne of Tarth was promised to the younger son of Lord Bryen Caron, a shy boy with a mole above his lip, but two years later a chill caused his death, also taking the lives of Lord Caron, his wife and their daughters. This leaves young Bryce Caron as Lord of the Marches.
Along with most other stormlords, Lord Bryce Caron declares for Renly Baratheon on the outset of the War of the Five Kings, and is named to the Rainbow Guard. Upon Renly's death, he goes over to Stannis's side and fights at the Battle of the Blackwater. There he is killed by Ser Philip Foote.
With no other living relatives other than Mylenda and the bastard Rolland Storm, King Joffrey I rendered the house’s keep, lands, titles, and incomes forfeit and given to Ser Philip as the first Lord Foote.[5] Though Bryce bastard brother Rolland Storm still claims lordship of the house and continues to serve Stannis's cause by holding Dragonstone. His fate after the fall of Dragonstone is unknown.
