Lord Theo Charlton supported Harwyn Hoare, King of the Iron Islands, against the Storm King Arrec Durrandon in the battle at Fairmarket.[3]
Lord Charlton supported Prince Aegon Targaryen against King Maegor I Targaryen in the Battle Beneath the Gods Eye.[4]
During the Dance of the Dragons, Lord Jon Charlton fought for the blacks at the Battle by the Lakeshore, where he died.[5]
Ser Clarence Charlton took part in the wedding tourney at Whitewalls. He was soundly defeated by Ser Tommard Heddle.[6]
At some point the Charltons became vassals of House Frey,[1] who began construction of the Twins six hundred years ago.[7]
Recent Events
A Storm of Swords
Ser Andrey Charlton and his squire, Lucas Roote, are killed by the forces of House Lannister during the War of the Five Kings.[8]
A Feast for Crows
The banners of Lord Charlton are spotted by Ser Jaime Lannister among the Frey camp at the siege of Riverrun.[1]
House Charlton at the end of the third century
The known Charltons during the timespan of the events described in A Song of Ice and Fire are:
- Ser {Andrey Charlton}, a knight. Slain during the War of the Five Kings.
- The wife of Ser Walder Rivers
- Their son, Ser Aemon Rivers
- Aemon's daughter, Walda Rivers
- Their daughter, Walda Rivers
- Their son, Ser Aemon Rivers
Historical Members
- Lord Theo Charlton, who fought against King Arrec Durrandon.[3]

- Lord Jon Charlton, head of the house during the Dance of the Dragons.[5]

Behind the Scenes
House Charlton may be a reference by George R. R.
