Contents
Character
According to her cousin Jaime Lannister, she is a sweet child, but a lonely one since her father disappeared.[4]
Recent Events
A Storm of Swords
As part of the pact between Lord Tywin Lannister and Lord Walder Frey concerning the betrayal of Robb Stark, Joy was to wed a natural son of Lord Walder.[5]
A Feast for Crows
When Jaime Lannister meets with Sybell Spicer, Lady Sybell mentions that Lord Tywin Lannister had promised a bride from Casterly Rock for her eldest son, Ser Raynald Westerling.
Your lord father said that Raynald should have joy of him, if all went as we hoped.
Jaime interprets this to mean that Lord Tywin had meant Joy with this, and Sybell isn't happy to find this out.[4] Whether Jaime's interpretation is correct, is unknown, and questionable, as Joy had already been promised to one of Walder Frey's natural sons as part of the alliance that led to the Red Wedding.[5]
