King of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men is the first title bore by the ruler of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, whose seat is the Red Keep in King's Landing.[1][2][3]
Originally crowned as King of All Westeros and Shield of His People by his sister-wife Rhaenys Targaryen, Aegon I Targaryen abandoned these titles when he was crowned by the High Septon at the Starry Sept of Oldtown as "King of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, and Protector of the Realm". This title indicated that Aegon claimed authority over the Dornish, descendants of the Rhoynar people, despite failing at conquering them.[4]
