King of the Rivers was the self-fashioned title of Harren the Red, an outlaw from the Riverlands boasting of being a grandson of the late Harren the Black. During the reign of Aenys I Targaryen, Aenys seized Harrenhal from Lord Gargon Qoherys, slew him, and declared himself Lord of Harrenhal and King of the Rivers.[1]
