Recent Events

A Game of Thrones

House Lefford is one of the principle noble houses sworn to House Lannister and Lord Lefford is one of Lord Tywin Lannister's bannermen.[2] When Tyrion Lannister is taken captive by Catelyn Tully, Lord Tywin calls his banners and raids the Riverlands. Lord Lefford joins his liege lord in the campaign. He is the commander of Lord Tywin's stores and supplies.[1]

When Tyrion joins with the Lannister camp on the east bank of the Trident, Lord Lefford provides him with a tent and is charged with supplying weapons to the hill tribes Tyrion has recruited to join the army. He reluctantly hands over his arms to what he calls savages. He is displeased when Shagga demands two axes. Tyrion also assembles his armor from remnants in Lord Lefford's wagons.[1]

He rides in the center of the Lannister force during the Battle of the Green Fork. Ser Kevan Lannister has the command while Lord Lydden and Lord Serrett also ride in the centre.[1]

When a messenger arrives with news of the defeat of Ser Jaime Lannister's forces in the Battle of the Camps, Lord Lefford asks for the Gods to save them. He suggests forming a truce and exchanging prisoners with the Stark army, also pointing out that Queen Cersei has Sansa and Arya Stark in her hands. When Ser Addam Marbrand says that Robb Stark would be foolish to accept exchanging his sisters for the Kingslayer, Lord Lefford then suggests ransoming Ser Jaime, but Tyrion correctly predicts that they will not offer ransom. Lord Tywin dismisses his bannermen to take counsel from his family and then orders his host to Harrenhal.[3]

A Clash of Kings

Lord Lefford mocks the ghosts of Harrenhal while encamped within the castle with Lord Tywin's army. However, he always sleeps with a candle next to his bed.[4]

He drowns at Stone Mill during the Battle of the Fords.[5][6]
