Lord Redwyne was the Lord of the Arbor and head of House Redwyne during the reign of kings Viserys I, Aegon II and Aegon III Targaryen.[1][2]

Character

He was a close kin to the Hightowers of Oldtown,[3] and a good friend with Lord Lyonel Hightower.[4]

History

Lord Unwin Peake's second son served Lord Redwyne as a page and squire until his death in a sailing accident.[1]

When the Dance of the Dragons began, Lord Redwyne declared for the greens.[2] It is currently unknown to what extent the Redwynes were involved in the war. Lord Redwyne's men were probably part of the large Reach host commanded by Lord Ormund Hightower. By the end of the war, Lord Ormund's second son, Martyn, was sent to be a squire to Lord Redwyne on the Arbor.[3]

After the death of Queen Jaehaera Targaryen, some of Lord Redwyne's relatives were proposed by Lady Samantha Tarly as a potential new bride for King Aegon III. Patricia Redwyne was present at the Maiden's Day Cattle Show.[1]

In 133 AC, the Hand of the King, Unwin Peake, sent Lord Alyn Velaryon to deal with the Red Kraken, Lord Dalton Greyjoy, as he was raiding the westerlands. During his voyage, Lord Alyn stopped at Oldtown for a time, hosted by the young Lord Lyonel Hightower. The two lords befriends each other and Lyonel promised Alyn twenty Hightower warships to reinforce the Velaryon fleet. He also promised Lord Redwyne would send thirty of his as well. The Redwyne ships were slow to show, the impatient Alyn decided to wait no longer and left Oldtown without them.[4]
