He was a close kin to the Hightowers of Oldtown,[3] and a good friend with Lord Lyonel Hightower.[4]
History
Lord Unwin Peake's second son served Lord Redwyne as a page and squire until his death in a sailing accident.[1]
When the Dance of the Dragons began, Lord Redwyne declared for King Aegon II Targaryen.[2] It is unknown to what extent the Redwynes were involved in the war. By the end of the war, Lord Ormund Hightower's second son, Martyn, was sent to be a squire to Lord Redwyne on the Arbor.[3]
In 131 AC, Lord Redwyne along with Lords Beesbury and Costayne escorted the High Septon to King's Landing for the wedding of King Aegon III Targaryen and Queen Jaehaera Targaryen. On the trip back to the Reach, they were joined by Lords Rowan and Tarly.[5]
In 133 AC, Lord Lyonel Hightower promised Lord Alyn Velaryon that the Hightowers would supply twenty warships and that Lord Redwyne would supply thirty. Redwyne's ships were slow to show, however, and the impatient Lord Alyn departed Oldtown without them.[4]
After the death of Queen Jaehaera, some of Lord Redwyne's relatives were proposed by Lady Samantha Tarly as a potential new bride for King Aegon III Targaryen.[1]
