Lucas Harroway was the Lord of Harrenhal during the reigns of King Aenys I and Maegor I Targaryen.

History

Lucas became the Lord of Harrenhal after the death of Lord Gargon Qoherys in 37 AC.[2] In 39 AC, he saw his daughter Alys wed to Prince Maegor Targaryen in a Valyrian ceremony on Dragonstone.

In 43 AC, he was named Hand of the King by Maegor, who had claimed the Iron Throne the year before. Later that year, Lucas fought on Maegor's side in the Battle Beneath the Gods Eye in 43 AC.[3] He governed the realm for a while when Maegor focused on the completion of the construction of the Red Keep.[4]

In 44 AC House Harroway was wiped out by Maegor after Alys had given birth to a monstrosity. Maegor's third wife, Queen Tyanna, had convinced him Alys had been having affairs, and provided the names of the men she had supposedly been sleeping with. This resulted in the execution of every Harroway Maegor could find, both in King's Landing, Harrenhal, and Lord Harroway's Town.[5][4]

After Alys had given birth to a monstrously-deformed baby in 44 AC,[1] Tyanna of the Tower convinced Maegor that Alys had asked Lucas to help her conceive a son for the king by providing her with men of proven fertility. Maegor had every Harroway in King's Landing, at Harrenhal, and at Lord Harroway's Town killed. Lucas himself was thrown off of the Tower of the Hand, while he was inspecting the tower's construction.[5]
