Merling King (god)
From A Wiki of Ice and Fire
The Merling King[1] or merling king[2][3] is a god. There is a statue of it commonly visited by sailors in the House of Black and White in Braavos.[1] There is a rock formation in the narrow sea called the spears of the merling king, which is a reference to this god. The helm of Ser Marlon Manderly depicts the head of the merling king.[3]
Ursula Upcliff, a reputed sorceress who lived at Witch Isle during the Andal invasion, called herself the "Bride of the Merling King".[4] The Velaryons claim they received the Driftwood Throne from the Merling King to conclude a pact.[5]
