Ser Orryn Baratheon was a knight from House Baratheon and a younger brother of Lord Rogar Baratheon of Storm's End.[1]
History
When Orryn's older brother, Lord Rogar Baratheon, was Hand of the King, he wanted to betroth Orryn to Princess Alysanne Targaryen.[1]
When Rogar was dismissed as Hand, Rogar and his brothers returned to Storm's End, though not before a failed effort by Rogar to have his brother Ronnal retrieve Princess Aerea from her quarters.[2]
In 50 AC Ser Orryn arrived at a motherhouse demanding Princess Rhaella, a novice of the Faith, be given into his custody. However, the Faith refused and Orryn and his knights were captured by Ser Caspar Straw. Ser Orryn was questioned and confessed to a plot: he was to bring Rhaella to Storm's End, where Rogar planned to have her confess that she was really Princess Aerea and then he meant to name her queen. For this, Lord Donnel Hightower imprisoned Orryn. When he came of age, King Jaehaerys I Targaryen decided to be merciful and pardoned Lord Rogar, remembering how he had protected him and declared for him against Maegor the Cruel. Ser Orryn was also pardoned by the king, but was exiled to Essos for ten years.[3]
