On his helm he wore a black bat with its wings spread.[2] Oswell has known for his dark humor.
History
He was present at the Tourney at Harrenhal where Jaime Lannister became a Kingsguard.[3] According to Barristan Selmy Lord Whent (Oswell's older brother) announced the tourney shortly after a visit from Oswell. [4]
In his feverish dreams Eddard Stark remembers he met Ser Oswell and two other knights of the Kingsguard at the Tower of Joy. Eddard told the them that King's Landing had already fallen and that King Aerys II was dead. After that they fought. Ser Oswell was killed alongside Ser Gerold Hightower and Ser Arthur Dayne. Eddard Stark had been with six companions but Eddard and Howland Reed were the only survivors.
