Qarl, more widely known as Qarl the Maid, is an ironborn warrior. He has three brothers, Uller, Skyte and Eldiss. He is renown throughout the Iron Islands as one of the fiercest warriors.[1] He is beardless.[2]
Recent Events
A Clash of Kings
Qarl and two of his brothers encounter Theon and Asha Greyjoy in Lordsport. There they recount the story of the death of their brother, Eldiss. Asha believes that Theon should make the brothers part of his crew.
A Feast for Crows
Qarl serves aboard Asha Greyjoy's ship the Black Wind.[3] During the kingsmoot, he danced the finger dance with Eldred Codd, which he won.[4]
