Rhaelle Targaryen was the daughter of Aegon V Targaryen. She was married to Lord Baratheon of Storm's End. Rhaelle was the mother of Steffon Baratheon and grandmother of Robert, Stannis and Renly.[2]
Thus through Rhaelle Robert descended from Aegon V and had a legal claim to the Iron Throne, which the maesters used to justify the outcome to Robert's Rebellion.[3]
