Rhaelle Targaryen was the daughter of Aegon V Targaryen. The books only mention that she married an unknown Baratheon. They had at least one child; Steffon Baratheon who was the father of Robert, Stannis and Renly.[1]
Thus through Rhaelle Robert descended from Aegon V and had a claim to the Iron Throne.
