Roland Blackwood was a member of House Blackwood during the reign of King Daeron II Targaryen.

History

Roland attended the tourney at Ashford Meadow in 209 AC[2] but did not participate in it.[N 1]

Family

His relation to the main branch is unknown. Roland may have been a third son as his personal coat of arms depicted three weirwood trees on a scarlet field.[2]

Notes

  1. Roland is not mentioned as being a knight, which is in keeping with the Blackwood's tradition of worshiping the old gods and rejecting Andal values such as knighthood. As this tourney was reserved for knights only (The Hedge Knight), it can be assumed Roland did not participate in the joust.
