Rosby
Rosby is the seat of House Rosby, north of Blackwater Bay in the Crownlands.[1] Rosby sits just northeast of King's Landing along the Rosby road, the shortest road between the capital and Duskendale. Lying around the small castle is a village made of daub-and-wattle huts.[2] Rosby's maester is Melwys.[3]

History
During the Dance of the Dragons, Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen was refused admittance to the castle of Rosby.[4]
Recent Events
A Clash of Kings
During the War of the Five Kings, the majority of the supply of food for King's Landing comes from Rosby and Stokeworth, both untouched by the war.[5] Prince Tommen Baratheon is held at Rosby on Tyrion Lannister's command to keep the royal family spread apart and make it harder for Stannis Baratheon to end the claims of Queen Cersei Lannister's children to the Iron Throne.[6] Ser Boros Blount is held in Rosby's dungeon for surrendering Tommen to Jacelyn Bywater without a fight. Prior to the Battle of the Blackwater, Jacelyn brings a fresh levy of spearmen from the Rosby estates to reinforce the defense of King's Landing.[7]
A Feast for Crows
Brienne of Tarth visits Rosby in her search for Sansa Stark.[2] The ward of Lord Gyles Rosby refuses to let Falyse Stokeworth and her husband, Ser Balman Byrch, stay the night when they travel to King's Landing.[8]
Rosby's inheritance is unresolved after the death of Lord Gyles as he has no trueborn sons or daughters, although he does leave the unidentified ward.
A Dance with Dragons
The Rosby inheritance is brought up in a small council meeting. According to Grand Maester Pycelle, six claims have been put forward, but the council decides to settle the issue at a later date as they have more pressing matters to deal with.[9]
