She stayed in Lys for a while, before going to Old Volantis, where she eventually became the owner of a famous pleasure house.[4]

On his deathbed, King Jaehaerys I Targaryen mistakes Lady Alicent Hightower for one of his daughters. Near the end, he grew convinced that Alicent was Saera, returned from across the sea.[2]
