When Davos Seaworth is sent to ask after the allegiance of the stormlords, Lord Selwyn only agrees to a midnight meeting in a grove with Davos, where the Evenstar informs him of his refusal to join Stannis Baratheon.[4]

Upon learning that Brienne has been captured by Lord Roose Bolton and the Brave Companions, who send a raven demanding a ransom, Lord Selwyn sends a return raven offering three hundred dragons for Brienne's safe return.
