Lord Sumner Crakehall was Lord of Crakehall and head of House Crakehall during the reign of King Aerys II Targaryen.
History
Ser Jaime Lannister squired for Sumner for four years;[2] Merrett Frey was also sent to Crakehall as a page and made a squire by the lord. During the campaign against the outlaws of the Kingswood Brotherhood, Merrett was captured by Wenda and Lord Sumner had to ransom him back. After receiving a hard blow to the head from a mace, Merrett was no longer able to fight and Sumner sent him back to the Twins.[3] Jaime saved Sumner's life in battle with the Brotherhood when he stopped Big Belly Ben from killing the Lord of Crakehall.[4]
