Landed Knighs or Lords

Are the Fossoways of Cider Hall still a knightly branch? Ser Steffon was promised a lordship for fighting in the Trial of the Seven. Regards, Scafloc 16:46, 19 June 2007 (CDT)

I didn't thought about it. There's the possibility they're lords now, although I'm pretty sure that no mention to a Lord Fossoway is made on the text. They are also listed altoghether with the green-apples at the AFFC appendix, but that's far from conclusive.
If I were to bet, I'd say they still knights. We never hear the exact promise Maekar made him, but (1) I doubt the fourth son of a king has the power to rise a knight to lordship, and (2) whatever influence Ser Steffon hoped to gain supporting the Targarens at the trial of seven diluted when Prince Baelor fought and died for the other side. In fact, if King Daeron investigated enough, would discover that in fact Ser Steffon's betrayal of Dunk was what forced Baelor to join him on the field.
All this is speculation, though. Perhaps the best thing would be to mention the doubt on the article itself?--The hairy bear (Send me a raven) 02:09, 20 June 2007 (CDT)
