Ser Tallad, known as Ser Tallad the Tall, is a hedge knight. His personal coat-of-arms is checkered blue with three eyes.[1] He is considered a promising knight.[2]

Recent Events

A Clash of Kings

Tallad remained in King's Landing, having pledged his sword to Joffrey I. Tyrion Lannister knows him by name. Watching Tallad while he is training with other knights at the Red Keep, Bronn considers him the best of the group but notices that he falls in a rhythm and always delivers strokes in the same order when he attacks, a weakness that would be Tallad's undoing if he ever were to face Bronn.[1]

A Storm of Swords

Ser Tallad survived the Battle of the Blackwater. Sansa Stark spies him beating one of the Redwyne twins in the yard.[3] Tyrion Lannister wants to marry him to Shae in order to protect her from Cersei's curiosity while still keeping her close at hand.[4]

A Feast for Crows

Ser Jaime Lannister spotted Ser Tallad practicing at quintain in the yard of the Red Keep.[5] Ser Osmund claimed that Ser Tallad visited Elinor and Alla Tyrell to woo them.[6] Later, Ser Tallad was practicing at the quintain with some other knights, when King Tommen I asked to have a turn.[6] Ser Tallad was spotted by Queen Cersei accompanying Alla Tyrell. Queen Cersei believed that Tallad was her admirer.[7] During his torture, the Blue Bard was forced to list those he claimed to have been Queen Margaery Tyrell's secret lovers, including Ser Tallad.[8] Cersei had an arrest warrant signed for Tallad as part of her plans to remove Margaery. He wounded three Gold Cloaks when they came to arrest him before the others overwhelmed him. He was consigned to the dungeons.[9]

A Dance with Dragons

Ser Tallad is being held with the rest of Margaerys falsely accused lovers in a dungeon under the charge of Qyburn.
