Tobho Mott is a master armorer in King's Landing. His shop resides at the top of the Street of Steel. According to himself, he is the only armorer in the city who can add tint to the metals in a suit of armor without using paint.[1] He had learned to smith in Qohor. He claims to know the spells and methods of working Valyrian steel. [2] In the TV series he is played by Andrew Wilde.[3]

A Game of Thrones

Lord Eddard Stark visits Tobho's shop in an effort to discover the killers behind the death of Jon Arryn. There, Tobho Mott introduces them to Gendry, one of Robert Baratheon's unacknowledged bastards who had been working for him as an apprentice.

A Storm of Swords

At Tywin Lannister's request Tobho melted Ice to get two new swords.[5] One was given to Joffrey Baratheon who named it Widow's Wail. The other was given to Jaime Lannister who named it Oathkeeper when he gave it in turn to Brienne of Tarth.[6]
